I was born in Hollywood, CA, to Sri Lankan parents who passed away when I was a kid, hurling me into orphan-homelessness. I Oliver Twist-ed and turned in the streets; and with no formal schooling found filmmaking as a way to process my crazy life. I was serendipitously “discovered” by Film/TV producer & founder of Anonymous Content; Steve Golin (The Revenant/ Mr. Robot) Back in the day I was called a “baby-director”. As I was a kid in a company of grown-ups. I’ve been blessed to win A GRAMMY nod for VIDEO OF THE YEAR for LAURYN HILL and won an MTV award for MARY J BLIGE & I’ve been nominated 4 seperate times for other MTV awards; including best director and best-breakthrough video, an honor I share with visionaries DANIELS, MICHEL GONDRY & FINCHER. I’m the recpient of NAACP IMAGE MVPA, Billboard, BET & EMMY award nominations.

My advertising works are also awarded. And some of my music video high-concepts were bought and used in the world of adversting to make commecials for FORD, RENUALT, VOFAPHONE, SONY, JEEP & MOUNTAIN DEW.

I’ve been honored to create w/ OSCAR winning talents such as 2 time Oscar winning actor, Adrien Brody; and OSCAR winning Cinematographer, Claudio Miranda (LIFE OF PI, TOP GUN MAVERICK) OSCAR nominee Jeff Cronenweth (FIGHT CLUB, A SOCIAL NETWORK, TRON) and OSCAR nominess Darius Khondji (BARDO,MICKEY 17).

THESE DAYS… I’m a “SOULWARE” developer, what’s SOULWARE? When hardware and software alone fail to adress human needs, SOULWARE bridges the chasm.

My latest “SOULWARE” combats loneliness and addreses areas pertaining to immigration, health & education.

I’m FOUNDER & CEO “Creative-Empowering-Orphan” of a unique device called, TEARDROP.
